1. Definitions
“Company” refers to BURY BLINDS
“Customer” refers to the person or entity purchasing goods and/or services
“Goods” refers to all products supplied by the Company
“Services” refers to installation and associated works
2. Quotations & Acceptance
2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Quotations are based on a visual or verbal survey; unforeseen site conditions may affect final costs.
2.3 Acceptance of a quotation, whether by written confirmation or payment of a deposit, constitutes a binding agreement and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 A minimum 50% deposit is required to secure any order.
3.2 The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.3 The Company reserves the right to withhold completion, commissioning, or handover until full payment has been received.
3.4 Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4. Lead Times
4.1 All lead times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
4.2 The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by suppliers, weather conditions, or circumstances beyond its control.
5. Installation
5.1 Installation will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
5.2 The Customer is responsible for ensuring:
Safe and clear access to the installation area
Suitable structural integrity of fixing surfaces
5.3 The Company shall not be responsible for:
Hidden defects within walls, structures, or ground conditions
Inadequate substrates or materials not evident at survey stage
6. Electrical Works
6.1 Where products require electrical connection, this must be carried out by a qualified electrician unless otherwise agreed.
6.2 The Company is not responsible for third-party electrical works.
7. Product-Specific Terms
7.1 Blinds & Shutters
All products are made-to-measure and are non-refundable once manufacture has commenced
Minor gaps, light bleed, and material variations are normal
Natural materials may vary in colour, grain, and finish
7.2 Awnings
Awnings are designed for sun protection and light weather conditions only
They must be retracted during high winds, heavy rain, snow, or adverse weather
The Company accepts no liability for damage caused by failure to retract the awning
7.3 Pergolas & Verandas
Outdoor structures are designed to provide shelter but are not guaranteed to be fully watertight in all weather conditions
Performance may be affected by extreme weather, wind direction, and surrounding environmental conditions
Drainage systems are designed for typical rainfall and may be exceeded during heavy or prolonged storms
Movement, expansion, or contraction of materials due to temperature changes is normal
Ground conditions, gradients, and existing structures may affect performance
8. Warranty
8.1 All products are supplied with a manufacturer’s warranty (typically up to 5 years unless otherwise stated).
8.2 Installation workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion.
8.3 Warranty does not cover:
Misuse, neglect, or accidental damage
Damage caused by adverse weather conditions
Normal wear and tear
Third-party interference or modifications
9. Defects & Right to Rectify
9.1 Any issues must be reported to the Company in writing within a reasonable timeframe.
9.2 The Company must be given reasonable opportunity to inspect and rectify any alleged defects.
9.3 The Customer must not arrange third-party repairs, alterations, or removal without prior written consent from the Company.
9.4 Failure to allow the Company to rectify defects may invalidate any claim or warranty.
10. Cancellations & Returns
10.1 All products are bespoke and made-to-measure.
10.2 Orders cannot be cancelled once manufacturing has commenced.
10.3 Deposits are non-refundable after order confirmation.
10.4 Cancellation prior to manufacture may be subject to administrative and design costs.
11. Access & Delays
11.1 The Customer must ensure the installation area is ready on the agreed date.
11.2 If installation cannot proceed due to lack of access or site readiness, additional charges may apply.
12. Liability
12.1 The Company’s liability is limited to the value of the contract.
12.2 The Company shall not be liable for:
Indirect or consequential losses
Damage caused by factors beyond its control
Issues arising from misuse or failure to follow care instructions
13. Photographs & Marketing
13.1 The Company may take photographs of completed installations for marketing purposes.
13.2 If the Customer objects, this must be stated in writing prior to installation.
14. Retention of Title
14.1 All goods remain the property of the Company until paid for in full.
15. Force Majeure
15.1 The Company shall not be liable for failure or delay due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to extreme weather, supply chain disruption, or illness.
16. Governing Law
16.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales
